This antibody recognizes a 170 kDa protein, which is identified as topoisomerase IIα. It shows no cross-reaction with topoisomerase IIβ or topoisomerase I. Topo IIα plays important roles in synthesis and transcription of DNA as well as chromosomal segregation during mitosis. It is reported to be a sensitive and specific marker of late S-, G2- & M-phases in transformed and developmentally regulated normal cells. This MAb recognizes basic (Type II or HMW) cytokeratins, which include 67 kDa (CK1); 64 kDa (CK3); 59 kDa (CK4); 58 kDa (CK5); 56 kDa (CK6); 52 kDa (CK8). Twenty human keratins are resolved with two-dimensional gel electrophoresis into acidic (pI 6.0) subfamilies. The acidic keratins have molecular weights (MW) of 56.5, 55, 51, 50, 50 , 48, 46, 45, and 40 kDa. MAb AE3 recognizes the 65-67, 64, 59, 58, 56, and 52 kDa keratins of basic subfamily. This antibody recognizes a carbohydrate epitope present on tumor-associated Lewis Y antigen (Fucalpha1-2Galbeta1-4/3GlcNAcbeta). Lewis Y is expressed in large bowel tumors and colorectal carcinomas. It may be useful in the classification of human renal and bladder tumors. Biotium Cytokeratin 18 (KRT18)(B23.1), CF647 conjugate, 0.1mg/mL
This MAb reacts with a wide variety of simple epithelia. It does not react with stratified squamous epithelia. It reacts with epithelial tumors of the gastrointestinal tract, lung, breast, pancreas, ovary, and thyroid. Cytokeratin 18, which belongs to the type A (acidic) subfamily of low molecular weight keratins, exists in combination with cytokeratin 8. It is reported that tissues from gastrointestinal tract are positive for both cytokeratin 8 and 18 but do not contain cytokeratin 14. Tissues from gastrointestinal tract, respiratory tract and urogenital tract, as well as endocrine and exocrine tissues and mesothelial cells are positive for cytokeratin 18.

B and T lymphocyte attenuator (BTLA) is a member of the CD28 Ig superfamily of inhibitory co-receptors, along with CTLA-4 and PD-1. However, unlike CTLA-4 and PD-1, BTLA does not interact with B7-Ig family receptors. Rather, it is engaged by herpesvirus entry mediator (HVEM), a member of the TNF receptor superfamily, leading to an inhibited immune response. It also plays a role in immune tolerance. Reacts with a 75 kDa melanocyte-specific gene product, identified as Tyrosinase-related protein-1 (TRP-1). It is involved in melanin synthesis. TRP1 is present on the melanosomal membranes of melanoma, normal melanocytes and nevi. Recent evidence suggests that TRP-1 is involved in maintaining stability of tyrosinase protein and modulating its catalytic activity. TRP-1 is also involved in maintenance of melanosome ultrastructure and affects melanocyte proliferation and cell death. Stem cell tyrosine kinase (STK-1) has been cloned from a CD34 hematopoietic stem cell enriched library and identified as the human homolog of a previously identified gene of Mouse origin designated either Flk-2 or Flt-3. The STK-1 cDNA encodes a protein of 993 amino acids with 85% identity to Flt-3/Flk-2. STK-1 is a member of the type III receptor tyrosine kinase family that includes Kit (steel factor receptor), Fms and PDGF. STK-1 expression in blood and marrow is restricted to CD34 cells, a population greatly enriched for hematopoietic stem/progenitor cells. STK-1 antiserum recognizes two polypeptides in these cells. It is highly specific to VEGF, which is a homodimeric, disulfide-linked glycoprotein with a close homology to platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF).
